I'm Ajay, a Senior Product Designer at Marshmallow with 9 years of experience designing across startups, scaleups, and consultancies in London.
I specialise in taking complex, messy problems and turning them into intuitive products that people actually want to use. Whether it's digitising a traditional industry, redesigning core conversion flows, or launching entirely new product lines. I focus on delivering measurable impact through thoughtful, user-centred design.
Recently, I was the Founding Designer at Rooser, where I built a marketplace platform from scratch to digitise the seafood supply chain. Before that, I was one of two Product Designers at Otta (acquired by Welcome to the Jungle), where I led projects that drove significant commercial outcomes, including a self-serve hiring product that generated £40k MRR within four months and a job card redesign that lifted conversions by 16%.
At Gousto, I worked on the sign-up journey during their pandemic growth period, contributing to a £2.9m annual profit uplift through design-led experimentation. I started my career at Deloitte Digital, designing accessible government services for clients like the Home Office and DVSA.
Outside of client work, I'm passionate about design systems, learning to code, and exploring products that bring structure to real-world complexity.
